New in August
We are featuring a cooperative member monthly, both here on our website and in our shop. Come check out the unique offerings of each member and learn about their specialties! We will also be starting a “Sunday’s at the Shop” series. Look for monthly updates as to what is coming up.

Sabra Massey is our featured member for the month of August. Sabra is a master knitter, and her specialties include working with lace weight yarns. Her creations are dazzling, come check them out! Sabra is also a spinner and spins beautiful yarns she then hand dyes through various techniques – including hand painting. The latest technique Sabra has been experimenting with is creating Batts. Using a drum carder, she is able to turn out incredible Batts with her hand dyed fiber, to be used for spinning or felting. Sunday August 1st, Sabra will be at the shop demonstrating hand carding in the creation of Batts - “Going Batts! What to Do With Them” Stop by for what is sure to be a fun afternoon.

Other “Sunday’s at the shop” for August include:
August 8th – BYOP (Bring your own project). Need help with a project that has been languishing? Bring it in - our cooperative member’s can help. We can get you back on track, and have lots of fun doing it!
August 15th - Carol Farmer will be demonstrating “Mask Weaving” on a Table Loom. This is a great opportunity to observe how to weave on a loom if you are thinking of taking up this craft.
August 22nd – BYOP
August 29th – This will also be a BYOP, as we will be participating in the Harvestfest on the Green in Montgomery Village on Saturday August 28th. Check us out at the Harvetfest on Saturday then bring your purchases to the shop on Sunday to get started.
